WrappedSurface

Wrapped Ceiling is an innovative ceiling luminaire with a clear focus on sustainability: the body is made from recycled cardboard and recycled thin aluminium printing plates. The luminaire offers through‑wiring and is suitable for most office and school environments.


Installation

Luminaire for surface-mounted ceiling installation, single. For detailed information, see the installation instructions.

Connection

For permanent connection; integrated driver in the luminaire. Connection via snap-in terminal block (5x2.5 mm²) in the middle of the luminaire makes through-wiring possible. Also available in design with 3-phase (or 1-phase+DALI) through-wire 5x1.5 mm²and snap-in terminal block at each end cap. CLO (Constant Light Output).

Design

Luminaire body of Solid Board, made from hard, post-consumer recycled cardboard material. Mounting plate made from reused printing plate of thin aluminum. Polypropylene (PP) end caps, made from 100% post-consumer recycled material.

Optics

Beta Opti – side and crosswise semi-gloss reflectors in metallised aluminium with an integrated opal film that minimises the risk of uncomfortable glare from the LEDs. Delta – micro-prism louvre in acrylic (PMMA).

Luminaire body made of renewable material

The luminaire’s body is made of Solid board, a material with 65% recycled and 100% renewable content. Solid board has an 89% lower climate footprint than extruded virgin aluminium (from Europe), which is a comparable material for a pendant luminaire, based on an LCA from Fagerhult.

Recycled internal structure

The luminaire’s internal structure is made from recycled printed sheet metal that was previously used for printing text or images on paper packaging. Giving new life to resources that have fulfilled their original purpose creates opportunities in new contexts and contributes to a more circular use of materials and reduced climate impact.

Recycled materials

The luminaire has been developed with a strong focus on resource efficiency. Its plastic and aluminium components are made from post-consumer recycled materials, 100% recycled plastic and 75% recycled aluminium. Post-consumer means that the material has been used by consumers and reached its end of life on the market before being recycled.
